From Flower Mound Police Department: At approximately 7:54 P.M. on Jan. 14, Flower Mound officers were made aware of an Aggravated Robbery that had just occurred in Lewisville. The Lewisville Police Department provided a description of the suspect and the vehicle involved in the robbery. At approximately 8:03 P.M., a Flower Mound Police Officer located a vehicle matching the description of the one used in the Lewisville Robbery parked behind the S & S Convenience Store at 516 Flower Mound Road.
The officer observed a male subject inside the store with what appeared to be a rifle and was ordering the clerk to place money in a bag. The officer waited for the suspect to exit the store and then ordered the suspect to stop. He dropped the rifle and fled on foot toward the Teal Wood Oaks neighborhood. The occupant of the suspect vehicle was ordered out of the car and taken into custody. It was determined that the suspect was a 16-year-old male who is a resident of Lewisville.
Flower Mound and Lewisville officers established a perimeter around the Teal Wood Oaks neighborhood and requested assistance from the Carrollton Police Department canine unit and the Department of Public Safety’s helicopter. After approximately 1 ½ hours, the suspect was located by the helicopter and taken into custody without incident. The second suspect was identified as Jaquan White, 19 years of age and also from Lewisville.
The weapon that Mr. White dropped was recovered at the scene and determined to be an air soft rifle. Officers also recovered over $1,000.00 in cash. Both the 16-year-old juvenile and Mr. White face charges of Aggravated Robbery.
