From Dayton Business Journal: Sports Image has completed a deal to open its 19th franchise, including its first in Texas. On Tuesday, the Miamisburg-based sports marketing firm announced it has signed Bradley and Marquita Kerley of Flower Mound, Texas. The couple will operate a territory in the Ft. Worth area. Sports Image focuses mainly on high school and youth sports programs, brokering sponsorship deals with local, regional and national companies. Read more@


 

Digital Realty Trust, Inc., a global provider of data center solutions, has acquired the 819,000-square-foot Convergence Business Park in Lewisville. The purchase price was approximately $123.0 million.

The campus totals more than 168 acres and includes 10 buildings and 39 acres of land for future development. The campus currently is 99% leased on a long-term basis to eight tenants. Approximately 35% of the property is leased as data center space to three tenants, representing approximately 36% of total revenue for the property. From Dallas Business Journal: Realty Capital unveiled initial plans Thursday for a 150-acre mixed-use development overlooking Lake Grapevine that is expected to cost more than $1 billion. The plan is subject to approval by the Town of Flower Mound’s Planning & Zoning Commission, as well as the Town Council. If approved, the project could begin next year. Read more@

Months after a devastating fire, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has re-opened in Flower Mound. The fire broke out on an early Tuesday morning last September. It destroyed the kitchen and the dining room had major smoke damage. Fire crews from Lewisville and Highland Village assisted Flower Mound Fire Department with the blaze. Continue reading »

Penney’s 300 Sephora shops are becoming the template for change within the company, along with a switch from constant sales to everyday low prices. Alan Hayes (Facebook) has been working at Penney for 38 years, and a Sephora shop is in the center of the Flower Mound store he manages. He’s already heard from customers who’ve seen ads about the new campaign. Flower Mound-based FUNimation Entertainment announced today at Ohayocon that it has acquired the broadcast, home entertainment, merchandising, mobile and streaming rights to the anime series, Haganai (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai).
