From The Lewisville Leader: The Flower Mound and Lewisville Police Departments are hoping to clear the nearly 14,000 outstanding warrants during the next week. The Great Texas Warrant Roundup begins Saturday and runs through March 4. “Our marshals have contact with other agencies,” said Lori Gosser, court administrator. “So they’re able to share a lot of information.” Gosser said there are 3,900 outstanding warrants in Flower Mound’s system.
From KWTX.com: A bizarre car theft early Wednesday morning at a local convenience store led to a high-speed chase on Interstate 35 south of Waco and a manhunt that stretched on for several hours. Brady Douglas Felio, 18, of Flower Mound, was charged with evading arrest Wednesday afternoon, but may also face auto theft charges in Bell County, authorities said.
From Town of Flower Mound: The Federal Bureau of Investigation recently published the annual “Crime in the United States” report, which identified numerous favorable crime statistics for Flower Mound when compared to cities of similar population within the State of Texas and the nation. Most notably, the Town ranked state-wide as having the fewest violent crimes, property crimes, and total reported crimes within the Town’s population category, based upon the overall number of reported crimes per resident. When compared nationwide, Flower Mound was recognized as having the fifth-lowest rate of property crimes, and the sixth-lowest rate of violent crimes and total reported crimes within the appropriate population category, based upon the overall number of reported crimes per resident. Based on the FBI report data, Flower Mound has the lowest ranking in the State of Texas categories of Crime Rate per Population, Total Reported Crime, Violent Crime, and Property Crime.
From Star-telegram.com: A former Keller woman accused of killing her husband bonded out of a jail this morning, a week after she was arrested on a charge of murder. Michele Williams, 42, of Flower Mound posted bail on the $85,000 amount which had been reduced on Friday. She initially had her bail set at $522,000.
